Moss, mould, algae, and lichen are living organisms that will take root and sprout on any infrastructure unless the surface in question is cleaned regularly. Algae and moss can also creep into the spaces underneath the tiles of your roof, loosening them and eventually causing them to break free. These organisms can grow rapidly, particularly mould, which can develop on a roof within 24 hours. To avoid build up, it is recommended that you have your roof cleaned at least once a year.
